Join us for a unique class combining Sports and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). This class is for students who want to learn or refine the basics of basketball fundamentals in a high quality weekly clinic while at the same time getting exposure to STEM. This season’s educational program is Game Design with Freshi Media. Game developers will work in pairs to conceive, design and build their own original computer game! Everything created is original, including the characters, theme, action, background and music. All necessary hardware and software provided. In addition, role models from the STEM industry will address the students and talk about their work and career opportunities. The basketball component will take place at the Alameda Point Gym and the STEM class at the O’Club, with ARPD staff leading participants on the short two block walk between the sites.
