Bike Tour

The pre-packet is now available for download.

What?

The public will be joined by the City Council, the Planning Board, and other interested parties for a bike tour of Alameda Point. After an introductory briefing by the City, Bike Walk Alameda will help guide the tour around the base with stops at important locations representing the challenges and possibilities presented by the current planning effort underway for Alameda Point.

Why?

Biking Alameda Point will give the public and City representatives a unique opportunity to discuss aspects of the plans from the perspective of their physical location. This tour will help provide a physical context and scale for the planning issues being discussed by the Planning Board and City Council.

When? Where? How?

Saturday November 2, 2013, at 9 a. m., rain or shine at City Hall West, 950 West Mall Square. Bring your bike, helmet, and a signed waiver. Please RSVP for the tour, if possible, by filling out this Eventbrite form. If you do not have a bike, but wish to participate, PM Realty is sponsoring a limited number of bikes available for use from Pedal Beach Rentals. Please note that this is on a first come, first serve basis, and you must make a reservation at (510) 747-6894. If you are unable to bike, but wish to come on the tour, please reserve your space on the City’s ADA compliant van (space is limited) by emailing alamedapoint@alamedaca.gov or calling (510) 747-6894.

Please download the informational pre-packet on this webpage so you can review tour materials ahead of time. After the tour, we will be asking that you complete comment forms in writing or online (an example is provided in the pre-packet) so that we can hear your thoughts on the plans for development at the key locations you visited.
