Public Forum to Discuss Policy
For Automated License Plate Readers

The Alameda Police Department invites community members to a public forum to discuss the Department’s policy for using Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. in the Main Library conference room.
The public forum will include presentations by the Alameda Police Department, the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC), and the American Civil Liberties Union – Northern California (ACLU-NC).
After the presentations, a public discussion, question & answer, and debate will take place to provide the Police Department with public input for the ALPR policy. A final draft of the policy will come to the City Council, in a public session, at a later date.
