Appointments for permit submittals are available for large or complex projects.
Schedule a Building Inspection
Please call (510) 747-6830 between 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday at least two business days in advance of the desired inspection date. During the summer months, it is advisable to schedule inspections at least 10 days in advance due to the busy construction season.
ePermits
ePermits allows viewers to look up permit history, permit status, outstanding fees, plan check correction comments, review pending project documents, and inspection results. Permit receipts and reports are also available. Licensed contractors can also obtain simple permits online by first registering for an account via ePermits.
About the Permit Center
The Permit Center is the central location for obtaining Building, Fire, Planning, Public Works, and Special Events permits. Permit Center staff assists customers through the permitting process from initial questions and preapplication meetings to inspections and final certificate of occupancy.
