Celebrate Alameda at the #LoveOurIsland Launch!
So often we hear people talking about Alameda and all the things that make our Island community unique, from our businesses to our tree lined streets, from our shoreline to our parks, from our schools to our community organizations, from our tireless and dedicated volunteers to our friendly residents. We celebrate our love for the Island every time we attend a festival, help clean up the shoreline, cheer for a favorite youth sports team, visit a park, and shop and dine local.
This week we are launching a new way to show our love of the Island. Please join the Alameda City Council, Alameda Unified School District, Alameda Chamber of Commerce, along with many others, on the steps of City Hall this Thursday, September 15 at 5pm, for a “ribbon-cutting” ceremony to announce #LoveOurIsland.
What: #LoveOurIsland Launch

This new initiative will recognize all the exciting, positive, and inspiring things that are happening here in Alameda. What do you love most about our Island? Throughout this campaign we will share stories on social media and live at community events, as we work together to keep Alameda a safe and vibrant community to live, work, and play.
Tucker’s Ice Cream is helping kick-off the Campaign by introducing a new #loveourisland flavor, vanilla ice cream with blueberries, cherries, and chocolate chunks. They will be at City Hall with samples this Thursday so don’t miss out!
