Community Development Director Lori Taylor announced today that she will be leaving her position with the City of Alameda on April 19, 2013 to head Economic Development for the City of Hayward.
“It has been a wonderful experience working in the City of Alameda. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with City staff and the community to identify ways to improve our customer service. In spite of the challenges we have faced with the dissolution of our redevelopment agency, we have managed to make some positive changes. I am especially proud of the efforts our team has made to promote our business community and improve our permitting process. I am confident Alameda is well poised to help our local firms expand as well as attract new businesses and investment.” Taylor stated.
“Lori has made a tremendously positive impact in her time here,” said City Manager John Russo. “Alameda will be building for many years on the foundation that Lori has so diligently set in place.”
Russo has appointed Debbie Potter as interim Community Development Director effective April 19, 2013.
