The City's Economic Development Division seeks:
- to enhance the quality of life for residents by promoting retention and expansion of existing businesses, attracting new diverse industry, and generating more tax revenue to be used on core community services;
- an economic vitality necessary to provide jobs, housing, safe and attractive neighborhoods and well maintained infrastructure;
- to increase the profile of Alameda in the greater Bay Area by attracting quality employers;
to assist in real estate leasing and project planning throughout the City
The Economic Development Division Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm., Monday through Thursday. Please note City Hall is closed on Fridays and all legal holidays.
