The City of Alameda’s America’s Cup Committee is hosting a special evening with Artemis Racing, Thursday night, February 28, at the Alameda Theatre. Free tickets for the event are available now through the Alameda Theatre Box Office, 2317 Central Avenue, Alameda; seating is limited. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.; the first 100 guests to arrive will receive a free Artemis Racing poster.
The one-hour program will include a presentation about Artemis Racing followed by a question and answer session with CEO Paul Cayard and other members of the Artemis Racing team. Artemis Racing is the Challenger of Record for the 34th America’s Cup. The team represents the Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS) and is based at Alameda Point.
“We are excited to have this community meeting with the Artemis Racing Team,” said Alameda Mayor Marie Gilmore. “This is a great chance to learn about America’s Cup from some of the best sailors in the world."
