Community Meeting to renovate six existing Sewer Pump Stations

 

The Public Works Department invites you to a community meeting to discuss a proposal to renovate six existing sewer pump stations in your neighborhood to meet the EPA’s latest requirements.

 

When:          Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where:         City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Third Floor, Council Chambers, Alameda, CA

What:           Group 1 -Pump Stations (PS)

#3 – Channing PS located at 346 Channing Way;

#5 - Aughinbaugh PS located at 1849 Aughinbaugh Way;

#19 - Yorkshire/Franciscan located at 1970 Franciscan Way;

#20 –Pond/Otis PS located at 1934 Otis Drive;

#21- Grand/Shoreline PS located at 303 Grand Street;

#25 – 8Th Street/Portola PS located at 1311 8Th Street

 

This community meeting will review six site plans for six existing pump stations after recommendations from the EPA to improve safety conditions and provide back up in the event of loss of power. Potential visual impacts and solutions will be discussed as well as their associated benefits and any effects on property owners.  

 

If you are unable to attend, a copy of the power point presentation will be up loaded to the City website www.alamedaca.gov (under Public Works) after the meeting.
