Books Down and Bottoms Up!
Join the Alameda Free Library, Books Inc. and American Oak on July 14, 2015 at a release party for Harper Lee’s new book, Go Set a Watchman.
Written before Lee’s only published novel To Kill a Mockingbird (1960), Go Set a Watchman actually takes place 20 years afterward and features many of the characters from the original book. The party will be held at American Oak, 2319 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, beginning at 7pm and will feature games, good conversation and no-host literary themed cocktails prepared by American Oak’s mixologists. Books Inc. will be on hand with copies of Go Set a Watchman for purchase, so you can be sure to get your own copy. The Alameda Free Library has two copies available for request now and will likely add more as requests come in.
