Is there a novel in you waiting to be released?

The Alameda Free Library and the Alameda Free Library Writers Group will host local authors at the Main Library, 1550 Oak St, during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) with a Night of Writing Madly on November 8th from 5-9pm and two Write-Ins, Saturday, November 14th and Saturday, November 21st.  The Night of Writing Madly is an after-hours event and will be held in the Stafford Community Rooms. The Write-Ins will be held from 12-5 p.m. and participants are welcome to come and go during this time.

National Novel Writing Month encourages anyone who’s ever thought of writing a novel to stop thinking about it and start writing.  During the month of November, participants aim for the goal of writing a 50,000 word novel.  Write-in centers like the Alameda Free Library provide a space to write and the chance to connect with other writers.  We will also offer light refreshments and, of course, books about writing.  Just bring your laptop and your ideas!

Participants can register for NaNoWriMo at the National Novel Writing Month website, www.nanowrimo.org, to get valuable resources and track their writing progress.

While no registration is necessary for the Write-Ins, we would love to know if you're planning to come to the Night of Writing Madly, so please e-mail us at alamedafree@gmail.com and make sure to put NaNoWriMo in the subject.
