Hamlet Comes to Alameda Free Library
The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival – Shakespeare On Tour will be bringing Hamlet to the Alameda Free Library (Main Library) on November 15, at 2 pm.
Shakespeare’s ghostly tale of a prince whose royal family is disrupted by revenge and corruption is considered to be one of his finest commentaries on morality and the human condition. Set in the court of Denmark, this murder mystery features Shakespeare’s most famous soliloquy, ‘to be or not to be’ and other familiar text that will be readily recognized.
This one-hour touring production travels with a cast of professional actors in costume, with set, props and live music. After the performance, the cast will take questions.
This performance is free and open to all. Questions may be directed to the Alameda Free Library at 510-747-7713 or alamedafree@gmail.com.
