Construction and Restoration of AC Transit Bus Line 19 to Begin

 

The construction and restoration of AC Transit Bus Line 19 is scheduled to begin along Atlantic Avenue through Marina Village and along Buena Vista Avenue between Sherman Street and Park Street in both directions.

 

The construction work consists of the installation of concrete bus pads, bus stop signs, and red curb. Please note project limits below.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) developed a District-wide Service Expansion Plan (SEP) amounting to $25.4 million annually. Through multiple meetings between AC Transit and the City of Alameda, the SEP alternatives for new bus service in Alameda were discussed and evaluated. Ultimately, the AC Transit Board, Alameda City Council, and Transportation Commission approved the resurrection of Line 19 alternative.

 

The recommended resurrection of AC Transit Line 19 will serve the Northern Waterfront Priority Development Area (PDA), Fruitvale BART, and downtown Oakland, which will provide both BART and AC Transit connections to locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
