NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IS AN ANNUAL COMMUNITY-BUILDING CAMPAIGN THAT PROMOTES POLICE-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND NEIGHBORHOOD CAMARADERIE.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Neighborhoods across Alameda, along with over 38 million neighbors across the U.S., take part in National Night Out on the first Tuesday in August.
We encourage neighborhoods to host a location and spend the night outside getting to know their neighbors and emergency personnel. The Alameda Police Department, alongside the Alameda Fire Department, Alameda Municipal Power and other public figures will make visits to hosted locations throughout the city during the event. This year's event will be on TUESDAY AUGUST 7, 2018.
