Traffic signal upgrades along the Park Street corridor between Blanding Avenue and Encinal Avenue will start Monday, May 21, 2018, and are estimated to be complete at the end of August 2018. The project includes amending traffic timing, installation of sensors to detect the presence of vehicles, and installation of emergency vehicle preemption.
Traffic signal equipment upgrades will be done at following intersections:
- Park Street & Blanding Avenue
- Park Street & Clement Avenue
- Park Street & Buena Vista Avenue
- Park Street & Tilden Way
- Park Street & Santa Clara Avenue
- Park Street & Central Avenue
Construction work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. During construction, motorists may experience minor disruptions in traffic, temporary loss of parking spaces, and noise and dust. Bus stop access will be maintained throughout the project.
