Community members are invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Shore Line Drive / Westline Drive bikeway.
When: Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
Where: Shore Line Drive / Westline Drive by Boardsports School and Shop
What: Mayor Trish Herrera Spencer and Bike Walk Alameda representative Lucy Gigli will speak prior to ribbon cutting.
This new bikeway includes a buffered space between the bicyclists and the motorists. It is one of the longest buffered bikeways – also known as cycle tracks or protected bike lanes – in the San Francisco Bay Area.
