NIGHTTIME CLOSURES FOR NORTHBOUND INTERSTATE 880 23^rd AVENUE

OFF-RAMP AND 29^th AVENUE ON-RAMP

Oakland/Alameda, Alameda County – Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled two nighttime ramp closures on Monday March 30, and Tuesday March 31, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., for Northbound Interstate 880, 23^rd Avenue off-ramp and the 29^th Avenue on-ramp to excavate for new drainage boxes located along the newly built sound wall along Northbound Interstate 880.

Advance warning changeable message signs and detour signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area.

Vehicle Detours for Closure:

Northbound  I-880 detour:

From E.9^th Street

Right turn on 29^th Avenue

Left turn on E.12^th Street

Left on 23^rd Avenue

This work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if necessary. Please drive with caution through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and Slow for the Cone Zone.

California Highway Patrol will be on site during night closures.
