Join us on Saturday, July 11th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Main Library, 1550 Oak St., as we host Sarah Godfrey from the San Francisco Zine Fest for a free, hands-on zine making workshop.
What’s a zine? A zine is a self-published, small, handmade magazine, and it can be about anything! In this workshop, we’ll be making a simple mini-zine. Participants can bring art, writing, or photos to add to their zine. The library will provide all the basic materials needed to make a zine. At the end of the workshop, everyone will have the opportunity to make copies of their zine, and share with others.
Sarah Godfrey makes zines about her terrible teenage poetry amongst other things. She also helps to organize San Francisco Zine Fest, and has run zine making workshops at high schools, summer camps and music festivals.
