Holiday Season Job Fair on October 14th
The City of Alameda is co-sponsoring a Retail Job Fair for temporary holiday-season and permanent positions available at the Alameda Landing and South Shore Shopping Centers. The Job Fair will be held Wednesday, October 14, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the South Shore Shopping Center in Alameda.
The Retail Job Fair will have hiring representatives for stores at Alameda Landing, South Shore Shopping Center, and other local employers. The businesses will be recruiting for various positions, such as cashiers, sales floor associates, and merchandise stocking. Job seekers should come prepared with resumes and dressed in interview-appropriate attire.
“This is an opportunity for local jobs to be filled by residents, including students at the College of Alameda,” said Debbie Potter, the City’s Community Development Director. “The retail industry is often the primary entry or re-entry point for many people seeking employment and work experience. It is a pathway for people to achieve greater earning capacity.”

The event is co-sponsored by the City of Alameda, the College of Alameda’s One Stop Career Center, the South Shore Shopping Center, Alameda Landing, and the Alameda Chamber of Commerce.
