State Route 61 Paving in City of Alameda
Intersection of Broadway and Encinal Avenue to Close for 9 hours
Alameda, Alameda County – On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Caltrans will close State Route (SR) 61 for paving at the intersection of Broadway and Encinal Avenue. Several locations on Broadway will be repaired, and portions of Encinal Avenue from Regent Street to Broadway will also be repaved.
- The intersection of Broadway and Encinal Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving.
- In addition, paving will be removed and repaved on Encinal Street from Regent Street to Broadway
- The roadway will also be repaired at several locations on Broadway.
- Residents may notice more noise during work activities such as grinding to remove old asphalt, repairing potholes, and repaving.
- During this closure, traffic will be detoured to city streets. Follow detour signs and directions of flaggers.
This work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if necessary.
Please follow the directions of flaggers, keep a safe distance from the car ahead, and Slow for the Cone Zone.
