Rescheduled Documentary Screening of “What Tomorrow Brings”

The Alameda Free Library is happy to announce the re-scheduling of the PBS/POV documentary What Tomorrow Brings by filmmaker Beth Murphy. The screening will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 6:00 pm at the Main Library, 1550 Oak Street, Alameda.

This film, which will have its PBS premier on October 31, takes viewers inside the very first girls’ school in a small Afghan village. Here education goes far beyond the classroom as the students discover the differences between the lives they were born into and the lives they dream of leading.

This preview screening is free and open to all. The film runs about 1 hour and will be followed by an informal discussion. This event is a collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent non-fiction film series on PBS, www.pbs.org/pov.
