Community Survey: The survey on the city's dock-less bike share program closed on March 5th.
Next Steps: The City is analyzing the survey results and evaluating the program. Staff will present a recommendation on next steps for dock-less bike share at the Transportation Commission's March 28, 2018 meeting and to the City Council on May 1, 2018.

Alameda is the first East Bay city with a public dock-less bike share system, using LimeBike. At least 300 LimeBikes will be available throughout the island during the six-month pilot period, and will be regularly re-distributed to the spots where people want to ride to and from.
Bikes are simple to find, unlock, and ride off on using the iPhone or Andriod smartphone app and cost $1 for every 30 minutes. Adults are encouraged to bring their own helmet, and everyone under 18 is required by law to wear a helmet.

Or, for an even quicker method, use the in-app reporting function (see "!" icon in bottom right corner of main screen), to easily report illegal parking, any issue with the bike or lock, or other issues with just a few clicks.

Monthly Reports from LimeBike: Every month LimeBike is reporting on bike usage, complaints and other requirements in the agreement with the City.
3 Easy Steps to Riding a LimeBike:
1) Download the LimeBike app to find a bike nearby.
2) Scan or enter the bike’s plate number to unlock the bike.
3) When your ride is finished, riders simply lock the bike's back wheel and responsibly park between the pedestrian-designated sidewalk area and the street curb, or at a bike rack.
