Share Your Opinion of LimeBike’s Dock-less Bike Share Program in Alameda
The City of Alameda is evaluating its pilot dock-less bike share program, using the LimeBike system, and wants to hear from the community. Please let us know what you think by completing our online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/alamedabikeshare. You can also find this survey on the City’s website at www.alamedaca.gov/bikeshare. The survey will close after Monday, March 5th. Hard copies of the survey are available at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall (2263 Santa Clara Avenue) and at City libraries.
The Alameda program, launched on October 5, 2017, is now more than four months into the six-month pilot period. Once the evaluation is complete, City staff will bring a recommendation for next steps to the Transportation Commission on March 28th and to the City Council in April.
Since LimeBike launched, more than 8,000 people have signed up to use the bikes in Alameda and riders have taken over 34,000 trips. Alameda had the East Bay’s first dock-less bike share program when it launched, and today there are programs in at least six other cities in the Bay Area.
More information about the pilot program can be found on the City’s web page: www.alamedaca.gov/bikeshare. General comments on the program can be emailed to BikeSharePilot@alamedaCA.gov. Any problems with individual bicycles should be directed to LimeBike (telephone: 1-888-LIME-345; text: 1-888-546-3345; email: support@limebike.com).
