The City of Alameda is looking for volunteer panelists to serve on a selection panel for new cultural arts grants in Alameda. There is a total of $20,000 in funding available, with award amounts up to $5,000.
We are seeking panelists based in the Bay Area who are knowledgeable about the arts. We particularly encourage artists, performers, arts administrators, cultural workers, or those otherwise engaged in the arts to apply.
The selection panel will include 5 members: two current members of the Public Art Commission, and three members chosen through this call for selection panelists.
Specific commitments include:
- Reading and reviewing proposals on your own
- Participating in at least two selection panel meetings: Meeting 1: Review proposals and craft clarifying questions/requests for additional information; Meeting 2: Score proposals to select finalists
All selection panels will be held in the City of Alameda, Monday through Thursday. The time (day or evening) will be based on availability of panel members. The selection panels will meet during October/November of 2018.
