Transportation Commission to Consider Harbor Bay Ferry Parking Recommendations

Transportation Commission to Consider Harbor Bay Ferry Parking Recommendations on March 25, 2015

The City of Alameda Public Works Department has developed final recommendations to alleviate parking concerns related to the Harbor Bay Ferry.  In short, the two recommendations for this phase of the study are:

  1. Conditional changes to Adelphian Way with the intent to revert to two-hour parking.  These include the conversion of twenty-four 2-hour parking spaces to unrestricted parking spaces, maintaining seven 2-hour parking spaces, and prohibiting all parking from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.  The conditions allow for portions, or all, of the unrestricted parking to be reverted as potential future improvements decrease the need for unrestricted parking on Adelphian Way.
  2. Add twenty-five unrestricted parking spaces to Harbor Bay Parkway and prohibit parking from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The detailed recommendations can be found in a report that will be published on March 18, 2015 at: https://alameda.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx

The Transportation Commission will review these recommendations at the their meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 7:00 pm, at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Third Floor, City Council Chambers.  The meeting is open to the public.
