Celebrate 50 Years of Star Trek at the Alameda Library

Beam over to the Alameda Free Library to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the premiere of Star Trek. On Saturday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., come to the Main Library on 1550 Oak Street, Alameda for an all-day Star Trek movie marathon. We’ll celebrate three generations and three captains with Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: First Contact, and Star Trek (2009).

Costumes are encouraged and participants are welcome to bring memorabilia for a show-and-swap.

All Trekkies are welcome to drop by at any time during the program, which is open to adults and teens, but not to Tribbles or the Borg.

Registration is not required. For more information, please call Carlisle Webber at 510-747-7713 or email cwebber@alamedaca.gov.
