Alameda Free Library to Host Craft Program for Teens and Adults
Do you have old toys collecting dust? Come to our library laboratory and bring them to life again. Turn your old stuff into freaky, Franken-toy creations by taking old items apart, and sewing, gluing, and taping them to other destroyed toys.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6:00-7:45 PM, the Alameda Free Library will host a Franken-toy workshop for teens and adults, ages 13+, at the Main Library on 1550 Oak Street. Bring old toys, stuffed animals, dolls, toy cars, and action figures to destroy and take apart. Give that old action figure a third arm...or a second head...or a tail (or two). The frightening possibilities are endless. The freaky Franken-Toys will be displayed in the library after the event.
We will provide all the craft supplies you will need to dismember your toys and then reassemble them into monstrous creations. Artistic abilities and skills are not necessary and no registration is required. Join us at this no-pressure event to transform your toys.
Please call the Main Library Reference Desk at 510-747-7713 with any questions.
