Magnificent Monarchs at Alameda Free Library

Discover the fascinating lives of monarch butterflies!  On Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 12:30-2pm, Susan Ramos, a Naturalist with the East Bay Regional Park District, will lead this program with the National Park Service and the Xerces Society.

Monarchs migrate through our area every year. Where do they go, what do they eat, and what threatens them? Learn the latest research about our local overwintering visitors. Find out what you can do to help in your own backyard and beyond.

This program is free and open to all ages. The event will be held at the Main Library, 1550 Oak Street, Alameda. No registration is necessary.
