Handmade Halloween: Pumpkin Painting at the Alameda Free Library
Carving pumpkins can be messy, sticky, and just plain hard! Painting pumpkins allows you to be more creative with colors, designs, and themes. Avoid the frustration of cutting off the wrong part of your pumpkin or getting pumpkin guts all over everything when you join us at the Alameda Free Library for an evening of no-carve pumpkin painting!
On Monday, October 24, 2016 from 6:00-7:45 PM, the Alameda Free Library will host a pumpkin painting workshop for teens and adults, ages 13+ only. The event will be at the Main Library on 1550 Oak Street. Get started on your “Handmade Halloween” and bring a pumpkin, big or small, lumpy or round, to paint. We’ll supply the paint, tape, stencils, and inspiration for your pumpkin masterpiece. Create a creepy pumpkin with ghouls, ghosts, and bats, or paint a mod pumpkin with metallics, glitter, and pastels—anything goes!
Artistic abilities and skills are not necessary and no registration is required. Join us at this no-pressure event to create your “Handmade Halloween” pumpkin.
Please call the Main Library Reference Desk at 510-747-7713 with any questions or email Hallie Fields at hfields@alamedaca.gov.
