Civil Service Board - 2 vacancies

Commission on Disability Issues - 1 vacancy (partial term)

The City is soliciting applicatipons from residents who would like to serve on the Civil
Service Board and Commission on Disability Issues. Application forms may be obtained
from the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Room 380, by
telephoning 747-4800, or on the City’s website. Interested persons are encouraged submit
applications to the City Clerk by June 30, 2016. If there are any questions, please feel free

The Civil Service Board meets quarterly on the first Wednesday of the month, at 5:00 p.m.,
in City Hall. The Board ensures competent and efficient personnel practices, impartial and
competitive examinations, fitness- and merit-based appointments, and fair discipline.

The Commission on Disability Issues currently meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Wednesday
of every other month, City Hall, Council Chambers. The Commission was formed to provide
information and make recommendations regarding disability issues to the City Council and
to receive information regarding the disabled from the community at large.
