Public Workshop-Parking Improvements

The Public Works Department is holding a public workshop to discuss parking improvements for the Park Street and Webster Street shopping districts.  The goal of the workshop is to help develop a plan that provides clearer, easier, and more convenient access to parking; that better supports our shopping districts; and reduces greenhouse gas emissions caused by cars circling for a parking space.

Staff will present findings from a recent community survey, a study of parking occupancies in the Park Street and Webster Street shopping districts, and a review of best practices. Staff will ask for the public’s input on ideas to improve signage, equipment, rates, and enforcement.
