The City of Alameda is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for assistance in the Facility lateral replacements in the City of Alameda, CA., at various locations listed on the plans and specifications. The work involves, but is not limited to replacing sanitary sewer upper laterals, cleanouts, sidewalk, driveway, street/parking lot patch, landscape improvements, SWPPP, bypassing, dewatering, traffic controls, EBMUD compliance testing and all other associated work to complete the project.
The engineers estimate for the base bid ONLY is $220,000.
The cost of the plans and specification is $75.00; if mailed, the cost is $100.00. Plans and specs can be purchased at City Hall West, Public Works Department, Alameda Point, Building 1, 950 West Mall Square, Room 110, Alameda, CA 94501. Be notified that payment must be either cash or check, payable to City of Alameda, in the exact amount.
DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (DIR) COMPLIANCE AND PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS ON PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS:
- No Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the DIR.
- No Contractor or Subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR.
- This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR.
- The Prime Contractor is required to post job site notices prescribed by regulation See 8 Calif. Code Regulation §16451(d).
- Effective April 1, 2015, All Contractors and Subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner.
Please note that the Alameda City Council encourages all contractors/consultants and other businesses providing services to the City to hire Alameda residents, pursuant to City Resolution No. 12278.
