Construction of Modular Buildings at Krusi Park

INTRODUCTION

The City of Alameda Recreation and Parks Department is seeking contractors interested in the design and construction services for a Recreation Center utilizing prefabricated components. The project is located at Krusi Park on the southeast side of Alameda and is bordered by Otis Drive, High Street, Mound Street and Otis Elementary School.  The scope of work will not include the demolition of the existing recreation center or sitework associated with the new building, but the selected contractor must agree to work in close coordination with the general contractor selected to perform that work. The pre-fabricated building is anticipated to cost approximately $1,000,000 including the slab-on-grade, structure, systems, equipment, finishes and furnishings.  It is funded solely through East Bay Regional Parks District Measure WW bond funds.

 

Purpose of the Request

The City is seeking submittals that include foundational, engineering and prefabrication services of a firm to work under the direction of Recreation and Parks staff to provide construction plans.

 

Timetable

Responses to this Request for Qualification (RFQ) are due and must be received in the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, CA  94501, no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15th, 2015. Responses must be addressed to the attention of Modular Recreation Center – Krusi Park.  The following schedule has been established for this Request for Qualification (RFQ):
