The City of Alameda is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to perform electrical upgrades to the Veterans Memorial Building, located at 2203 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501.
The work involves, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of new 800A, 120/240V, 3-phase, 4-wires distribution Panel in NEMA I enclosure with group mounted circuit breakers at the former location of existing open-type distribution panel along with 8 new subpanel boards with breakers to accommodate existing fuses with additional breakers space to accommodate future use. Additional upgrades include, but are not limited to, proper circuit labeling, adding new egress battery backup lighting inside the restrooms, six in total. The upgrade work includes, but is not limited to, managing interruptions to the buildings fire alarm system, conveyance and communication/computer systems with proper coordination with no or few interruptions while not damaging the current level of service.
Contactor shall secure a building permit and all required Title 24 Electrical/Mechanical Reports.
Engineer’s estimate is $68,000.
