NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 for Estuary Park Site Improvements, Phase 1, No. P.W. 02-16-01. Bids must be presented to Jack Dybas, Project Manager II, City of Alameda Public Works Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Room 110, Alameda, CA 94501, under sealed cover, plainly marked on the outside as follows: “CITY OF ALAMEDA - SEALED BID FOR ESTUARY PARK SITE IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE 1, NO. P.W. 02-16-01.”
The Work for the Estuary Park Site Improvements, Phase 1 includes the following: New Site Improvements for approximately four (4) acres of a 2-Phase eight (8) acre park facility, consisting of new synthetic turf ‘Challenger’ Baseball and Soccer Fields and adjacent lighted synthetic turf Multi-Use Fields. Improvements include (but are not limited to) demolition of existing irrigation systems, softscape, hardscape (including concrete and a/c paving), site furnishings, earthwork grading and re-grading, synthetic turf, perimeter concrete edgeband, amendment and chemical treatment of soils (esp. within synthetic turf areas where soft yielding soils may exist and where required during construction), site grading and drainage, landscaping, planting, irrigation, turf improvements, site furnishings, parking, curbs and gutters, pedestrian ramps, sidewalks and pathways, electrical and lighting. Work to include coordination and compliance (of all work) with Bay-Friendly Rated Landscapes (Bay-Friendly Landscaping and Gardening Coalition) and with City’s appointed representative(s).

Any Addenda issued before the time in which to submit Bids expires shall form a part of the Contract Documents and shall be included in the Bid. Bidders shall acknowledge and confirm receipt of any and all addenda in their Bid proposals.
A non-mandatory (optional) Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled on April 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the City Hall West, Public Works Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Conference Room 156, Alameda, CA 94501.
A non-mandatory (optional) Site Walk is offered on April 28, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the Estuary Park site, 3000 Mosley Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501. Participants to meet on southern end of existing parking lot centrally located in the existing park. Site tour expected to be 30 minutes maximum. 10:00 am pre-Bid meeting follows, at City Hall West.
