HVAC DUCTLESS SPLIT SYSTEM AT VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING TEEN CENTER, P.W. 04-16-07

 

The City of Alameda is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the installation of two, 3 ton ductless split Fujitsu ABU36RSLX HVAC units at the Veterans Memorial Building, located at 2203 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501. 

 

The work involves the installation of these units in the teen center room located in the City of Alameda’s Veterans Memorial Building, located at 2203 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA.  All work shall conform to provisions of the 2013 California Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Green Building Codes and local amendments, Historic building approved standards.

The work includes but is not limited to:  mounting and seismic securing two fan coil units as per the engineering plans; installation of raceways, including mounting of condensation drains as per the engineered plans and the manufacturer; electrical work including installation to breaker and installing/securing to disconnects;  Title 24 ventilation utilizing exhaust system as per approved mechanical plans; fabrication and sheet metal work; exterior anti-theft cage and concrete pad; providing proper sealants, adhesives, paint and coating all surfaces to like kind;  securing controls and programing all temperature controls; testing and adjusting for proper use and operations  by occupants; provide annual warranty on all parts and labor.

 

DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (DIR) COMPLIANCE AND PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS ON PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS:

 

o No Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the DIR.


o No Contractor or Subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR.

o This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR.

o The Prime Contractor is required to post job site notices prescribed by regulation See 8 Calif. Code Regulation §16451(d).

o All Contractors and Subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner.

 

Please note that the Alameda City Council encourages all contractors/consultants and other businesses providing services to the City to hire Alameda residents, pursuant to City Resolution No. 12278.
