Please see the attached Request for Proposals (RFP) for Alameda Paratransit’s Premium Taxi Program and Medical Return Trip Improvement Program (MRTIP) for 2018-19.
The Premium Taxi Program provides a 70 percent discount for same day, accessible taxi rides within Alameda County, for enrolled Alameda residents who are 70 years old and over. Vouchers cost $1.50 each and have a $5.00 value and are sold at Mastick Senior Center. Enrolled riders are limited to purchasing a maximum of 30 Premium Taxi Vouchers in a calendar quarter.
The MRTIP Program provides accessible taxi rides for Alameda riders enrolled with East Bay Paratransit, who are returning home from medical appointments. MRTIP vouchers cost $2.50 each, which covers the cost of the entire trip home from any location in Alameda County. Enrolled riders are limited to purchasing a maximum of 10 MRTIP Vouchers per month. MRTIP vouchers are sold at Mastick Senior Center.
Both types of vouchers are valid for one year from the purchase date.

- Proposal Due Date: Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2 p.m.
- Selection Interviews: Wednesday, November 29, 2017
- Award of Agreement: Tuesday, January 16, 2018
- Projected Agreement Start Date: Thursday, March 1, 2018
