Request for Proposals for Eligibility for Cannabis Business Permits

The City of Alameda is issuing a limited number of permits for Cannabis Businesses through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process.  The RFP process will result in selected businesses securing eligibility to apply for a Cannabis Business Operator’s Permit (CBOP). The successful proposers will have an opportunity to apply for CBOPs in the following areas:

 

•   Nursery Cultivation – One (1) Permit

•   Manufacturing – Four (4) Permits           

•   Medicinal Retail Dispensary – Two (2) Permits

 

Distribution permits may be granted along with nursery cultivation and manufacturing permits. Delivery permits may be granted with medicinal dispensary permits.

 

The schedule is as follows:

  • RFP Issued: April 23, 2018
  • Letter of Intent to Submit RFP (required): May 14, 2018 at 4:00pm
  • Proposals due: June 11, 2018 at 4pm
  • Announcement of Selected Proposers and Letters Issued to Successful Proposers: Week of July 9, 2018

The City reserves the right to alter schedule as necessary.
