UPDATED:  Know Your Rights Workshop: May 31

On April 18, 2017, the Alameda City Council voted to support immigrant and refugee support services and programs.

The Alameda City Council, working in partnership with the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD), and the City of Alameda’s Social Service Human Relations Board (SSHRB) is hosting a “Know Your Rights” Workshop at Ruby Bridges Elementary School on Wednesday, May 31, from 6:30-8:00pm. The presentation will focus on what to do in your home, school, workplace, or out on the street if faced with deportation and ICE raids.

The Workshop will be facilitated by the International Institute of the Bay Area and presented in both English and Spanish. Alameda Police Chief Paul Rolleri will also be on hand to explain what Alameda’s Sanctuary City status means from a law enforcement perspective. Admission is Free.
