Get In Touch with Virtual Reality at the Library!
Ready to experience a whole new world? Teens are invited to the Alameda Free Library to try the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset! You will be transported into a new reality using the headset and controllers to experience space, build robots, and much more! The Alameda Free Library Teen Advisory Board invites you to the Game Zone on Saturday, November 18, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Main Library. This fun event is planned by teens for teens! While you wait for your turn to play the Oculus Rift, you can learn and play board games like Exploding Kittens, Fluxx, Tsuro, Codenames, and more. Games will be played throughout the event and snacks will be provided.
The library will provide a selection of board games and participants may also bring their own games to play. This event is for teens, ages 13 to 18, only. The Teen Zone will be in the Stafford Room at the Alameda Free Library on 1550 Oak Street.
This is a Teen Advisory Board sponsored event. The Teen Advisory Board designs, plans, and leads teen events at the library.
Contact Teen Librarian Hallie Fields at hfields@alamedaca.gov with questions or to RSVP to the event.
