Library to Host Creative Writing Workshop for Teens

Join the library in a celebration of National Novel Writing Month by attending a creative writing workshop for teens. Attend the workshop to learn how to get started with writing, tips for writers block, and how to edit and polish your pieces. We’ll go over writing tips and challenge you with writing prompts. Teens will have the opportunity to share work at the end of the workshop. Bring a piece you’ve previously written or share your draft from the workshop.

Teens, ages 13 to 18, are invited to this event on Tuesday, November 28, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. We’ll provide paper and pencils but attendees can bring a laptop or tablet if they prefer to write digitally. We’ll also provide some snacks during the writing session. The workshop is in the Regina K. Stafford Room at the Main Library on 1550 Oak Street. Please RSVP by emailing Teen Librarian Hallie Fields at hfields@alamedaca.gov.
