In addition to emergency response, the Fire Department's involvement with the community has grown into a model for Public Safety. A variety of programs are in place designed to heighten the public's awareness of fire and life safety issues. Alameda Fire is also active in area schools, giving students of all ages the chance to learn about, and in some cases, take part in, Fire Department functions. We have recognized the importance of change to meet the needs of the community. One of the best ways to achieve that goal is to get the citizens familiar and involved with the many facets of the Fire Department. We are dedicated to working in partnership with the community and strive to develop mutual respect and pride in ourselves and the community.
