Public education is fundamental to the Alameda Fire department. We strive to provide effective fire safety education and positive community role models for Alameda's school age children. We want to provide integrated, quality teaching resources and opportunities to help young people learn the skills to stay safe as they grow. Some of the popular events we provide in public education is Safety Town in October in honor of Fire Prevention Month and school assembly exercises which not only includes fire drill activities but hose spraying and learning the ins and outs of a fire truck.
