In accordance with the 2010 California Fire Code, Chapter 23, a fire permit from the Permit Center is required to use a building for high-piled combustible storage and must be renewed and inspected annually. At the time of permit application, plans and specifications shall be submitted for review and approval.
When applying for a High-Piled Combustible Storage permit, please follow these steps:
- Complete a Fire Permit application
- Draw plans and specs
- Submit application and plans to Fire Prevention at the Permit Center
Fire Prevention will then:
- Process your application and plans
- Review for approval
- Contact you when your permit is ready for pick-up
