Expanding Your Transportation Options

Just because you have trouble getting around does not mean you have to slow down. If age, illness or a physical condition limits your access to transportation, the City of Alameda may be able to assist. We offer a range of options to address your needs.

If you live in the City of Alameda and use public transportation, you have three primary alternatives:

Accessible Public Transit

Both AC Transit and BART offer enhanced access to their buses and trains for those with disabilities. These often are the most flexible and economical options, and we encourage you to explore their services.
