Sewer Reliability

The Public Works Department is required by the Federal EPA to rehabilitate the City’s 36 pump stations. The sewer pump station renovations include both underground and above grade improvements.  Possible surface improvements include installation of a new motor control cabinet, a new electrical service pedestal box cabinet, an emergancy backup generator connection plug, a SCADA alarm pole, and/or a replacement water back flow preventer.

Renovation and re-construction plans are under design.  A public meeting will be scheduled in the Fall of 2013 for Group 2 and Fall of 2014 for Group 3. The public will be invited to the meeting to see the plans and provide any public comments. Residents who live within a 300 foot radius of the rehabilitation site will receive a letter by mail inviting them to the public meeting.
