On March 5, 2015, the Public Works Department is hosting a public meeting to gain input on traffic signal equipment upgrades on Park Street between Blanding Avenue and Encinal Avenue. These upgrades include the installation of Emergency Vehicle Preemption and Transit Signal Priority systems. These systems preempt normal operation of traffic lights to enable passage of emergency and/or transit vehicles with minimal delay.
