Big Truck Bonanza at the Alameda Free Library

The Alameda Free Library, in collaboration with Alameda Fire Department, Alameda Police Department, Alameda Public Works Department, and Alameda Municipal Power, invites families to spend an afternoon exploring some of the City’s big trucks on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot, located on Oak Street, between Santa Clara Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Big Truck Bonanza is a biennial event at which kids and their families can meet City staff and their trucks in a safe, non-disaster related setting. City agencies will bring a variety of vehicles, including a fire truck, street sweeper, derrick digger, backhoe, bucket truck, and patrol SUV, for children to touch, climb on, and explore. Staff from each department will be on hand to answer any questions families may have.

The event is free, but a liability waiver is required and may be filled out at the venue. City Hall is served by AC Transit routes 21 and 51A. Bicycle parking will be available at the event. For more information on this and other library programs, visit alamedafree.org or call (510) 747-7777.
