Event descriptions:

Solve the mystery and escape the room!

Books are disappearing. Strange things are happening. A librarian is missing…

Can you solve the mystery and escape the room in time? Teens, ages 13 to 18 are invited to the library for a mystery party. We’ll have an escape room set up with clues and puzzles you have to solve to get out of the room. You’ll only have 20 minutes to solve the mystery and escape!

All players must register in advance. Register by emailing Hallie at hfields@alamedaca.gov or by contacting the Reference Desk at 510-747-7713. You can sign up in groups of up to 6 teens or you can register just yourself. Any solo registrants will be put into a group. Space is limited so make sure to reserve your spot!

There will also be a book swap once each group finishes going through the room. Bring new or gently used books to swap with other readers if you’re interested in participating. Books should be of interest to readers in 8th through 12th grade.

This fun event is planned by teens for teens! Contact Hallie to find out more about how you can plan events and be part of the Teen Advisory Board or if you have any other questions.
