City Seeks Proposals for Public Art
The City of Alameda has released two new requests for proposals (RFPs) for public art:
- The Physical Public Art RFP includes award amounts from $12,500 to $150,000. Designed to be as flexible as possible, the RFP encourages artists to propose a wide range of artwork, with locations to be identified by the proposing artists or artist teams.
- The Cultural Arts and Arts Programming RFP includes award amounts from $5,000 to $35,000. All events must be publically accessible, and located in the City of Alameda.
The RFPs are available for download from the City’s website (https://alamedaca.gov/business/bids/5406), and can also be accessed on Call for Entry (www.callforentry.org). The City will also host an RFP Orientation on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 6pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue. Proposals are due on December 19, 2017, and the selection process is expected to take place in winter/spring of 2018.
